Even during the pandemic, Skims continued to grow and evolve, and has now become a billion-dollar business. In 2020, it strategically introduced pajamas and loungewear at just the right time as everyone was stuck at home during lockdowns — and the business has continued to thrive.

When Do Skims Restock?
Skims releases new collections as frequently as every week, but at a minimum usually every other week. If you blink, limited edition collections can sell out faster than you can add them to your cart. And restocks aren’t always necessarily a guarantee.
Last year, the New York Times attributed slow restocks to “weaving fabrication” that takes a long time. And according to the company, “Skims operates on a drop model, releasing a batch of new products (or restocking them) every week or so. A drop could have 20,000 units or 200,000 units.” The fabric is what we all probably love most about Skims. You can’t rush perfection, right?
