The day we’ve all been waiting for has finally come. Not only can you pick up your Target order curbside, which you’ve probably been doing for a while, but you can also order a Starbucks coffee to go with that order.
But before you run out and add that Caramel Brulée Frappuccino to your online order, Target is offering this perk to select areas, according to its updated news release. If you’ll recall, Target announced the new service back in February but didn’t mention which areas would see it first. But now we know!
The Starbucks with Drive Up service launched at Target in early November at 240 Target stores in California, Delaware, Minnesota, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, and West Virginia. So, yippie if it’s available where you are.
Target also plans to allow customers to return any of their items curbside, too, but details about that have yet to be announced. Did your love for Target just grow even more than you thought possible? Our love has for sure.
Here’s how the new Target Drive Up Starbucks service works:
- Place your Target order just like normal, either online or through the Target app.
- When your order is ready for pickup, you’ll click the option that tells Target you’re on the way via the Target app.
- When you do, you’ll then have the option to make an order from the Starbucks menu, if it’s available.
- Once you arrive, a friendly Target Drive Up team member will bring out your order, along with your Double Chocolatey Chip Crème Frappuccino, or whatever your preferred Starbucks beverage is.
And then for returns, it’s a similar process. You can start a return through the Target app and then head to the store to finish up at the Drive Up lane. Easy peasy!
Target is making huge efforts to streamline its curbside pickup option by also expanding its “backup item” selection. You’ll select backup items (in case your first choice is unavailable) from a long list of categories that will help turn your frown upside down.
