MSCI rises after raising quarterly dividend

Investment decision support tools company MSCI (MSCI) was up ~4% as the company raised its dividend, having reported a beat in Q4 earnings.

The company increased its quarterly dividend by 10.4% to $1.38 per share.

MSCI’s Q4 non-GAAP EPS of $2.84 beats by $0.08 and revenue of $576.21M (+4.8% Y/Y) beats by $7.68M.

The increase in revenue was primarily because of $50M higher recurring subscription revenues, offset by a $24.2M decrease in asset-based fees.

Operating income was $308.8M, up 10% Y/Y.

Operating income margin was 53.6%, compared to 51.0% a year ago.

Net income was $215M, up 10.9% on a yearly basis.

Adjusted EBITDA was $339M, up 6.4% Y/Y.
